Just What I Needed
I’ll never figure it out. Sometimes stuff just happen coincidentally, but it’s kind of freaky when it happens.
Blogging; I love it, but I also dislike it.
All week I have been thinking about pressing the “delete blog” button, and I’ve really wanted to do it. I didn’t want to continue pouring my thoughts, ideas and expose my very soul out there for anybody to read. It just seems a bit pointless at times, and especially when day after day after week after year you have a maximum of 30-40 views a day (with exception to the one post that get so much attention it scares me), and not getting the interaction I’ve waited for for three years now. I’m not just quietly waiting, you’re wrong if you think that. I’m out there. I’m out there a lot. I post comments, and I promote my blog on various places, sites and forums, I’m in two of the biggest blog directories etc but nothing seems to help. My friends comment sometimes, of course, but that’s natural, and I thank you for that.
If you’re a follower of this blog, or a fan of Dankku you do not need to fear. I am not going to stop blogging and I will continue to be creative. And you all owe a big thank you to Mauritz.
He and I were talking today. I referred to an earlier post where I tried to get a rise out of people, and thought it might have been pointless since I have not that many readers. This is what he said, and why you need to say thank you:
“It is a shame since you’re an active blogger, and what you write has a certain kind of a standard that is worth more readers than you currently have.”
Thank you! I agree, and it confirms that sneaky suspicion I’ve had for three years now, that even I have something to say and sometimes I even manage to make a point. And it’s good reading.
Are you a frustrated blogger, too? Would you like to join my club? The spot for vice-president is up for grabs.
