Why?
OK, this is about something I’m very, very divided about. On one hand I love it, on the other hand I can’t stand it. It really is a love-hate relationship. I’m talking about the Internet.
I got a shock today as I opened Firefox and saw my thumbnails (click link to see them) and I thought: “holy crap, am I really a part of all of that?”
Here are the sites I’m registered on for some reason:
- WordPress.com. Well, duh!
- Radio x3m’s community. Best community ever, I love it!
- The Forum. Best damn forum on the Internet
- Filmtipset.se. The best filmsite out there, apart from imdb.com, of course.
- Imdb.com.
- Twitter. My brother pretty much forced me. He knows I’m a weak man.
- Facebook. Jake pretty much forced me. He knows I’m a weak man.
- Last.fm. Interesting and fun music based community.
- StumbleUpon. Because you have to create a profile to use it. I love StumbleUpon.
- Mypodcast.com. When I got into podcasting Jake recommended this one. It rules!
- YouTube. Well, why not.
- Flickr.com. Hey, I’m a creative genius and sometimes I manage to take an awesome photo and I need a place to post those.
- Lunarstorm.se. But now I must say I’m never on here since I found x3m, and I never bothered to delete my account.
- Google, of course.
I think that’s about it. Many sites to remember, many sites to follow… Why do we do this? Do we really need to have all this shit!? It has gone out of control. “Dude, you seriously have to check this site out.” And when you finally do, well then it’s just the same garbage as every other previous popular shitty fucking site. There are really few good sites out there these days. I’m sad to say, but it is the brutal truth, the Internet of 2008 sucks donkey balls! Thank heavens for the few sites that are actually of excellent content and quality etc.
My next podcast will be about this subject. Stay tuned.
