Damn Microsoft, damn Microsoft to Hell!

My cpu: PC, Windows XP.

I’ve had my share of problems in the past; 3 times my cpu has crashed, three times I’ve lost everything I had in my hard drives; music, movies, documents etc. The last time it crashed I got really fed up, but it did get fixed and the cpu has worked pretty OK since.

Now there’s a problem again; I do not know who did what to it, but it’s really messed up. Suddenly the sound doesn’t work properly, a minute later I have no sound at all, I restart and the sound is good, and a few minutes later it cuts off again, and again I have to restart etc etc.

And another thing; all of a sudden the screen flashes and it looks like I’ve got Windows 95.

My brother Christian, the computer nerd slash expert told me, maybe jokingly, that: “you should install Linux and you’ll have no problems. Everything will work!”

I thought about it over the day and I realized, since I’ve wanted to learn more about computers for a long time, that it would be a nice little challenge, cool experience and just a fun thing to do.

So, yeah, I’ll be reading about Linux for a while, then I will install Ubuntu (because I’ve heard many great things about it) and see what it’s like.

Goodbye Microsoft, I truly dislike you!

But now, just to calm down, I will listen to Opeth and mosh! \m/

Have a good weekend folks!

  1. Please then update on your blog how linux is workning! I’m truly starting to dislike windows, but I don’t think I’m ready for switching to Linux yet though…

  2. I’ll do that for sure!

  3. twizzla Says:

    User error ;)

Ubuntu is pretty cool, but Microsoft gave me a free copy of Vista so thats what I’m using these days.

  4. Twizzla, you should be carefull with announcing that you have Vista, who knows what criminal accusations you could be charged with, considering windows stole or bought every idea about the user interface :D

  5. I have also thought about chaning to Ubuntu, I just don’t have the time to spend on getting to know a new OS at the moment.
But do tell how it works out! :D
